The Savior

One must accept Jesus in their heart, so their destination will be heaven when they depart

He needs you to stay on the right track, if not you will not be in tack

His love is all you need and that’s a fact!

He was there back in time when the lives of us blacks were on the line

He showed Himself evident when all hope was considered lost and irrelevant

He continued to purge us in His loving arms no matter how much hate was formed in our harden hearts

Without the help of Jesus on our side, we would not know where our end would reside

Jesus was the only one that could save us, from the horrid “masters” that tried to destroy us

Jesus never left or forsook us

He continued to be faithful and kept us strong during the turmoil that lasted long

We were considered as weak and underneath those whites who “owned” us

But notmatter what they said we saw ourselves as victorious

The Savior is the one we need, to help decipher those that trick and deceive

He keeps us safe from the works of the devil, and keeps us from being consumed by evil

The Savior is the one you need for our heavenly retrieval

He was the one they needed for deliverance from the whips, beatings, and unfairness

He kept them safe from all the hostility of the “masters” trying to destroy their prosperity

They remain obedient which caused them to be set free

Jesus is the Lord of all, He keeps us secure and won’t let you fall

His strength enables us to stand tall, towards the enemy who lurks to see us crawl

The Savior is the one to call!
