The Savior and The Devil

Slim and coy

Pier Shonks was the name

Nefarious good boy

Nowhere was safe

One day he stopped in fright

Yelled, "Oi!"

At the dragon's ghastly sight

The man riding it said with delight

"Sorry my good sir but I must leave"

The Devil said looking quite pleased

Turf invaded

Devil wreaked havoc

Shonks deflated

Must stop the panic

Night rose

Shonks stole

Crashed and unknowingly

The Devil enraged openly

"You shall pay!"

Shonks chose his burial

"Your soul being sufficient wage."

Shonks said, "Outside or in, I won't be hysterical."

Calming the rage.

War broke, out of the cell

The city pinned

Shonks bid his last farewell

He shot the wall, with a grin

He had died

Buried in the space, where the Devil could not pry
