Say Nothing

I sit down next to you at lunch,

You are caring and quiet,

You look at me and smile,

I love your smile,

It's so open and sweet,

I smile back,

Do you like my smile?

You know when I'm sad or upset,

You hug me to make me feel better

You know it's about him.

I lean into your hugs,

You just hug me tighter,

You don't let go until I'm ready

I know that there is something there,

But I think we are both afraid,

So we say nothing

We just continue to feel things and say nothing.

I want you to say something

But I know that you won't

Now I just hope that you don't read poetry....

I love the slightly humorous ending! I also love how you broke it down in stages/change of realization/feeling.
