say what?

we sit down tweeting,

not knowing,

what is beyond our screens

the reality we don’t see is,

everything in the developing countries

what we see is

what we tweet

barely breathing

people dying

and the media keeps lying

people are crying

to find freedom

but freedom for them,

only comes from the help they seek from us

yet,

we are netflix and chilling on late nights

the happiness they see is

a day with no bomb blasting

and for us the happiness is

# coffee # slaying

all these party posts

posts on social media

and the posts for them

# save palestine # human rights

we expect the government,

the organisations

to support the children,

the children who have

lost their families,

their homes

to the war

we have created

nationally

our excuse is

please donate,

but we have our own

problems financially

we sit tweeting

forgetting the reality

that this is happening

internationally

we say

hey stop talking,

take actions

but do we really?

forgetting the world is screaming

screaming hey come save us

nothing will change

cause all we do is

cry a few tears for their empathy

and keep retweeting

this is inhumanity

and this must stop

i swear to god

wallahi

we all will die

not in sorrow,

but in regret
