The Scale
Balance in life is all I inquire
I search for justice in one hand and love in the other
But my diplomacy relies on my dependency for love
And as fickle as I am, how do I decide what's right or wrong?
unbalanced and teetering the hands holding harmony are swaying from uncertainty.
The wind whipping the scale and whispering in my ear;
Overthinking and undeciding.
An unbalanced scale pondering its values and attempting to balance the weight of the world.
The scale sits there, nervous and frightened as to not break under the weight it must balance.

Blends personal identity struggle with abstract philosophical inquiry about balance and justice.
Multiple interconnected ideas: balance, justice, love, uncertainty, self-doubt compressed densely.
Predominantly anxious and uncertain; nervous, frightened tone outweighs any positive resolution.
Moderate kinetic intensity from 'whipping,' 'swaying,' 'teetering' but tempered by introspection.
Approximately 8-9 lines; falls within 7-15 line range.
Rich metaphor of scale/balance; personification of scale as nervous/frightened; strong imagery.
Pure lyric internal voice; introspective meditation on personal emotional and moral conflict.
