THE SCAR YOU LEFT

THE SCAR YOU LEFT

SPOKEN WORD POETRY

I cried every night

Spending sleepless nights

Just thinking I was the one who screwed up

I questioned my heart so many times

If I was wrong in what I felt

For I loved you

But you just left without a trace

I searched for you

Every corner that I knew you might be

I wrote letters hoping you would read them

And just maybe your feelings would revive

But I was just another game

You had to play

I was just another goal you had to score

I wished you spared my heart

From bleeding each time I called

No answer

Each time I texted

No reply

My eyes soaked of tears

Each time the memories came flashing back

I just wished you thought of me first

Instead of picturing me in your moments

And not in your thoughts

I just wished you saw my pains

My weakness my down fall

Each time my mind thought of you

I just wished you saw the state

You put me through

And maybe you would have felt the connection

Like a rose you trampled me to the ground

And just watched me fade away
