Scarlet Ribbons
Acting out emotions may delve into extremities
Throwing knifes of truth
And bullets shredding thin
Ricochet
Ricochet
Ricochet
Against the walls inside your mind
Against the walls inside the room
Against the walls keeping confined
Scarlet laced regret
Of words that didn’t mean a thing
Of actions not thought through
But is it really true
That acting without thinking
Is the truest form of you
So the ribbons spread out on the floor
On the walls
On the silent lips
Of invoked wrath
Aren’t the actions you’d regret
But rather
The things better left unsaid
