Scarred

Some people believe when we are children, we are the most pure version of ourselves until the world takes our soul and it ends up morphing into what is needed to survive When we are done 'just surviving'; then we slowly start to piece back together Finding parts of ourself that we forgot we lost and replacing what we can't find with are living with, but never abling it get it to its original form because of our past. Like anything else we see, once something is broken, you can try to fix it but no matter how hard we try, there will always but the visible cracks and imperfections. Like a winkled piece of paper, a chipped piece of glass, a broken heart. There will always be the evidence of the impact that it has endured.
