The Scarred Dream
Dear My Scars,
What do you see when you look at me?
In my eyes can you see past your reflection?
All you see is the color
And structure of an eye
Really look hard at me
Naked
the
human
eye
Only to see me
Physically
Long Hair,
Naturally
A body of goddess
Oh my goodness
And these pretty features
But a real heart lies within
Pain is the anatomy of this clothed skin
Internally scared
To the bone this child
Stripped…
Naked
Of innocent
At an early age
Pants slipping
Dipping in the ocean of my own insecures
Stripping to please the man of another kind
I was blind
Life changes tarnished my 20/20 vision
I was born with
Just to rebirth me into sin
Everyone has scared me in their own special way
Lying under these scars
My story is placed
Every scar recites a new chapter
Some written in blood by my heart
Others forced by the pencil of my soul
At only the perspective of these eyes
Bleeding through the paper
Lays every lonely tear dropped
Expressed to the world to let you know
I am here
Here to nourish seeds
Wrap my hands around the roots of souls
So that don’t feel any growing pains
Here to help a man
That showed me love isn't between my legs
But the power of love lies in the darkest place
My heart
Illuminating the possibilities of hope
I’m high off the dopeness of that
Don't take this a joke
It’s real
Not lights camera or action
Just lessons
I spoke humility and gained stability
And when I leave my footprints on the sands of time
Forever being remembered
By ken left to reminisce about me
My story may make you tear
But don’t cry from ME
I’m the one that earned and learn from her scars
God taught me that
Scars scared me
But I’ve been taught by every slit and blood dropped from this body
I’ll forever see your scar
Remembering not the pain but the morality
The morality
I look at these scars everyday
And realize my life is
A scared dream story
And the rest is still
Sincerly,
Unwritten!!
