Scarred for life

When I was a teenager, I fell in love with my true love. We made the mistake of getting married too young, things didn't work out. When he left me, he scarred my life for ever; I was never able to allow myself to love anyone else the same way. He was my every breath, I would have followed him to the ends of the world but it was not meant to be. The love will always be there but my guards are up now and no one can touch me. My only advice to young lovers is, don't think the grass is greener on the other side, if you get caught, you will lose everything and it could be the one and only true love. You will lamented it for the rest of your life.
