Scars

you live through life

trying to forget the pain

putting a smile on the face

makes no difference anymore.

you remember that night

when he reached out to you

your innocence was almost lost

your body shook without control.

you didn’t know what to do

you wanted to scream

but he had robbed your words

so you just waited in the darkness.

you felt your soul shrinking

your insides hurt

you were only fifteen and he twenty-two

and the world was about to devour you.

but you came in sense

and said no no no

he insisted to take you

no no no!

the alcohol flowing in his veins

was responsible for the atrocity that he almost committed

but the poison tired him off

and saved your life, youth, innocence.

the next day was horrible

you felt disgusted, corrupted

the next one was worst

and so the rest followed.

you were not able to love

another man or yourself

for he had taken a piece of you

that despicable night.

you live through life

trying to forget the pain

by putting a smile on your face

and learning to love again.
