Scars

Here you stand,
here we are.
both showing our battle scars

Yours are physical,
mine are emotional.
Both though are dying

Slowly we bleed
but out of love
we stay alive

for these scars
are nothing
not when we face them

Here you stand
standing with me
battle scars showing
but not on our arms.
