Scars

i let you into my life. what a mistake that turned out to be.

porque lo único que me dejaste fue tristeza y unas pinches memorias que yo nunca te pedi.

I was doing fine without you darling.

i didn’t need you to come into my life. i didn’t ask for you to come into my life!

and somehow, i still let you in. i shouldn’t. have let. you in...

because the only thing you left me was pain and the reminder of how much i hate getting attached.

the only thing you did for me, was reopen these scars with your words and false promises.

me dejaste, te fuiste sin explicación

i asked you to stay not knowing you were already gone.

Now all i have are these damn scars.

and i know you can’t see them darling, but i can feel them!

because they aren’t physical scars but rather mental scars, emotional scars.

because believe it or not, words! leave! scars! memories. leave. scars.

I’m, scarred. and i’m hurt.

because when you left, your promises shattered and turned to stab every piece of my being.

and even though you can’t see the cuts anymore, i still feel them, with every damn breath i take.
