Scars

Location

You see, the way I stand I present myself well

I represent myself, pretty good
And I'm pretty sure you would if you just understood the scars we carry on our bodies
For without them who would we be
You should see the things that I've seen,
I mean you should hear the things that I've heard
So understand I am who I am because of these scars
You see I live on after every  injury
And every torn tissue tells a story of my history
Lies, betrayal, and heart breaks,  all the pain that I intake
Helps me to demonstrate the man that I'm becoming
Nothing was ever handed, nothing was ever given
And for as long as I've  been living, pain has never been a stranger
But Neither has my drive to move forward.
And though my scars always call me back I look past it and look forward to my future
These scars they are ugly,  but I've never been one for low self esteem
No matter how things seemed, good or bad or anything in between
I am so ego tis-tic
My thoughts are so twisted
To take pain and let hurt be my resiliency
To keep me functional and let every action I do been done with effecentcy
It's war out here and my environment is my war zone
But I
Stand here as a veteran of my Struggles, and I wear My scars proudly
For there are some solders, that can't do the same
