Scars
The scars that she has run so deep.
It’s impossible for her even to sleep and eat.
She tries to cry for help but no ones there.
She sitting here in her own blank old stare.
Every day she ends up by herself crying.
Asking herself why she is even trying.
She should just give up and quit.
But she knows she has put too much in it.
Her future in at stake when she thinks about it.
And she doesn’t want to have to skip this.
Her future is bright and she really knows it.
But something in her tells her to quit.
She is dying on the inside from all her thoughts.
But she knows that that thing wasn’t her fault.
She tries to speak but it’s so hard.
She keeps pressing and keeps up her guard.
These scars she has wont go away.
But they make her better each and every day.
She keeps her head up high all through the day.
Not letting her smile go away.
She wonders does any one really hear her cry.
In the midnight hour where she asks herself why.
No one believes her when she speaks.
But when she gets a chance she has a silent streak.
She wants to know how to get out.
But she continues to drown herself in a bunch of doubt.
One day she’ll be gone and out.
But as she continues to live she going to try to make it count.
