Scattered on the floor
Do you believe in love?
Well, I use to believe in fate.
I keep trying to disappear,
To slowly drift away.
Thinking You'd be better of without me
Or rather, I'd be better of alone.
But everytime I try, I fail
Because, the heart is ruling.
I've hurt many people,
And they have hurt me in return.
I became numb to feeling lonely,
So I try to force myself to love.
I've had feeling that were strong,
And gone in a day.
I became aware of the pain I've caused,
So now I run away.
I can never tell what's real or not,
This is why I shouldn't stay.
I'm scared people and love itself,
They only add on to my pain.
I threw my heart in the river,
A long time ago.
And with it my emotions fell far,
Into a black hole.
I'm a broken record,
Like glass
That's scattered on the floor.
But with you
I'm slowly picking up the pieces
That have flown away.
I'm taping them back together,
Like a magnet on a door,
Slowly being put together,
Recovering my damaged soul.
I know I seem crazy,
Emotionally depressed,
Maybe a bit confused,
But I'm trying to say
This time i know it's true,
Your my other half.
