Scenery pictures

Romans 8:5-6 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  Scenery

Painting pictures with words ... makes paper come to life

and if now a self-portrait ... why would it start with strife?

Beginning with the mind ...  one word creates many a picture

often starting with my hurts ... that ageless determined fixture?

If I feel like painting happiness ... I just think of children

and then draw a Christian song ... of freedom without hindrance.

Sometimes I peek into my heart ... far past the dark chambers

where rays of light and love reside ... and troublesome is nameless.

A million words cannot explain ... all facets of my being

the good, the bad and ugliness ... the slave, the free and the meanness.

So I write in space and time ... what I sense at the moment

not to be misunderstood ... by self who will condone it.

If you take the time to observe ... “my” paintings without frames

you will peek into who I am ... called in time, in space, by name.

And if somewhere you sit down and read some of “my” writing

you will touch what I felt ... in some reposed dimensional timing.

“Is that you”? You may ask ... and possibly smile and wonder

about parts carved in “my” poems ... inspired from up yonder.

I don’t even recognize ... the one who I suppose on paper

as the writing talks back to me ... like a friend and neighbor.
