Scent of the Seventies
My mother’s fluttering panda eyes
searched for her beloved bottle
of Aqua Manda; scent of the seventies,
smiling and smocks in sun-drenched streets.
I had hidden it.
Neroli-infused pillow, concealing
and revealing the scent of safety.
My ‘mum on tap’ just for me.
