Schizophrenia
She runs in the forest,
Soft grass kissing her heels.
The joyful laughter filling the fresh air
As she ran; ran away.
Standing in front of the Vazza Cafe,
Cold rain water seeps into her clothes.
Smells of books and home
Drown her in memories.
Oh how times have changed…
The library was there,
but the crying just became louder-
and louder.
She couldn’t hear the burning wood of the trees,
Yet she ran…
And ran.
The pages of a book fluttered by;
Her life.
Her memories.
Silence.
Soft melodies of birds danced into her ears
As the memories of her past were finally tucked away.
The sunset paints the sky;
And stars poke through the darkness,
Winking at her
As she walks on,
Walking in her forest.
