schizophrenia

A stage that has many mirrors all reflecting me..but different. They shatter from my touch. My lacerations bleed and warp reality. Endless efforts to stitch it back together leave me exhausted. Leaving fingers sore and swollen eyes from salted tears. And no one can hear each reflections scream. That leaves echos moaning and whispering stories and sounds that play on a loop. I am in the center. Honored ring leader that dances with the help of strings. They lead to darkness. Maddening silence that shakes the nerves. How loud they scream again. The jagged shards of my soul are sadist and love to cut me over and over and over. My screams blend with theirs and the harmony rocks me to sleep. Until the curtain rises tomorrow. And an encore is assured.
