In school we’re meant to learn,
But we just text, talk, and sleep
And by the end of the day we barely
Know a thing.

The teachers know this,
But they still teach.
They put up rules
But there is no enforcement.

The teacher gives up.
The teacher still teaches for the
Lucky ones.

Who are they?

The ones who don’t have
To be told twice
Those who want to go to college
And those who are able to say
“I passed high school!”
