School?

School? ha what can i say

We are made to be all equal, told to think a way

Not play on our individualities that make who we are

But to follow rules and regulations or be sent home in the car

We are all up against stereotypes that define who we are once we walk through the door

Because of that some students end up beaten on the floor

And the teachers?

I wonder do they really care?

Do you as a teacher even care if im there?

Am I just another face

Another paper to grade

Another hassel to you if i decided to stay

Or am i special

The future of tomorrow

I wish you could see the impact you have upon me eveyday

An encouraging smile, and pat on the back

Thats all I really need to keep me on track

I need your support, your knowledge and wisdom

For what I truly want to become is something great

But will you help me on my journey

Or watch me slip away?
