The School Bus

It comes rolling closer, ever closer

It taunts all those who wish they stayed in bed

I think I might have time to run, but no I have been spotted

The breaks squeal and the doors to doom open

The smell of B.O and unfinished assignments greets me as I enter

Papers fly and little things jump from seat to seat

I find a little hiding spot and try to stay awake

I dream of the day I will have my own car to take

When this yellow rolling death trap is not in my fate
