School vs. Learning

Sit down, be quiet, no not here, go there.

There is no voice or opinion allowed anywhere.

Today we will talk about Antigone

Fuck you trying to figure out who you want to be.

There are too many kids and not enough time

To truly discuss the romantic idea of the sublime.

We teach to the test, we must get the score

If we don't we are denied the funding to hold open the door.

We don't judge on potential

We judge on a scale.

A-B-C-D or you Fail.

I don't know when education became about jobs over learning

to be honest I even think you think it is concerning.

Do you really think this is an accomplishment?

I'm sorry I don't mean to vent.

When I imagine school I thought it was supposed to teach

That it was not a place to have a single person preach

I have given up on the success of schools

And now I make my own rules

I read Kant, Plath, Rousseau, and Faust

And yet you give me the oust.

You say that I talk back and have no respect

When I just try to share my own rules and project

I feel if I don't share my views I will explode

But I guess that is something you don't care to know.
