The Scientists
When I was a kid, I used to think I was the only real person.
That I was stuck in a simulation, being observed by scientists.
That all other people were robots or something.
I thought all the people I knew were nothing more than situations
that the scientists confronted me with to see how I would react.
My thoughts were original but the scientists took them from me.
The scientists dug through my brain and disected every thought I had.
And now I think Maybe.
Maybe it's God. God is the scientist and the robots are angels... or demons.
Maybe he's testing me.
Maybe there's no such thing as God. Maybe I should think like everyone else
and believe that everyone is their own person.
Maybe there's no such thing as reality.
Or maybe... just maybe... I was right.
