The Scream

The Scream

Walking along the bridge with two strangers

The light was leaving the sky, like a wild fire dying out.

Loneliness fills the heart and mind.

The body, heavy, unable to move.

Flames still high above, the city still in full swing,

These strangers, old companions, move on without me.

Consumed by the abyss; I no longer see wild fire,

I scream, I scream, I scream.
