Screens
These screens to our eyes
we become so confined
mezmorized by the light.
Blinded to the world
or to the planet we know.
We stay behind our screens
hoping not to be seen.
This is our life
from the age of eight
I had a keyboard in my hand
only to call my mom and dad.
The typing and swiping became so easy
I forget whats infront of me
in class we use to pass
the notes on the ground
now we hide behind books
hoping not to be found.
The books were not meant to be read
but to hide our screens
the unseen of where we push send.
This generation so caught up in this screen
the blue light affecting our eyes
but the evil stays blind.
Now we all have this technology
and the world has come to its norm
but we all stay behind these screens
hoping not to be seen.
The pictures we post
the comments we share
the locations we trace
but would you dare
say that to their face?
Is this something that is gone?
Communication through our lips
the words beneath our breath?
our world is gone, all due to a screen.
The children depressed and our parents so stressed
about what is on our screens.
In this world
I learned to have my own conversation
rather not normal than whats on the screen.
But to open my lips
and produce words on my breath.
Face to face,
not this video chat.
These screens have become the evil
and it is so very vile.
It has corrupted the world from communication.
From early years we learn to talk.
We put words together
To make a sentence,
but now its like our voices are gone
and our fingers are all we use..
I wish everyone would speak and meet,
the poeple they are talking to on the screens.
Dangers and beware
the scare of the unknown.
Ten year olds are talking to strangers on the phone.
Child abduction is questioned
on how its become so easy
but because of the lack of monitoring
kids are being taken,
Locations are shared,
conversation is there,
but who are you talking to behind those screens.
Face to face I talk,
Keeping it straight
not losing the way of the world.
I hope to see,
one day people like me
will soon see the problems are on our screens.
