Like the sea...
Ever since I could feel the warm sand against my toes,
the loud screetching in my ear,
and the cold snot beneath my nose,
I knew that I had a condition I could not shake or run away from,
I was found but I was lost in a way,
because my way was lost when you looked my direction.
Ever since I could feel the slap upon my cheek,
the hand against my thighs,
the wind blinding my eyes,
I knew that you were the one that kept me alive,
and made me feel alive,
like no one else has before.
When I step out of body I can feel the relief that one has when escaping from their lover,
When I step out of body, I can see why people think I need to love another,
but there is no other,
when you hold my heart.
The wisdom they instill with me is dormant when I'm with you,
They say I do not see myself when I am with you,
I have not discovered myself because I am with you,
I guess I am like the sea when I am with you.
