The Sea

The Sea

The blue of the sky is not the blue of the sea,

This blue that I prefer,

Without really knowing why

I would love to stay true to my land

Forget the ephemeral wind

I have tried so many times

In vain I say "I stay, I will not go"

Each of my gestures, each of my steps

Reminds me constantly, despite promises

Towards this blue light

The horizon where the sea touches the sky

Hide a treasure that all ignore

It is the wind, gently, that rises and reveals me

The blue of the water

I will go further and always higher

But this hidden voice thinks quite differently

 I do not understand it,

The sun dances on the eternal sea

But all are unaware of its golden reflections

She is waiting for me under a carpet of light,

The sea calls me,

I want to see behind the clouds, new shores

It is the wind, gently, that rises and reveals me,

Reveals my hidden heart to the sea.
