sea of broken hearts

A turbulent sea of broken hearts, its white caps are made of sadness and rejection, a reflection on the regret of sharing their feelings, people who spilled their hearts out to the ones they loved and where shot down, like an aircraft flying over contested waters, they where ripped from the sky and left a flaming wreck, unsalvageable rubble, a sad thought I know but all those who swim the sea of broken hearts know that this was always a possibility that they would be rejected, to have their love unreciprocated, a mutual feeling that, that may have left the other unfazed by their words, but the other is crushed under the weight, their minds stability, bends and bows, this is where they decide whether to join all the others who have given up and chose to invert into themselves or to move on and learn and grow to turn it into a lesson so that they don’t make that mistake again, or they can fall into the sea of broken hearts, and fight to save themselves from drowning in their self-made misery, a depression that they put themselves in, but no one except you can make you choose how to take rejection, to learn and strengthen from it or join the lost souls that swim in the sea of broken hearts, but the choice is no one else's but yours, so do you choose to continue your journey, through life or drown at sea, dragged under the surface, held by the unseen hands of unforeseen sadness, loneliness, knocked back by the white caps of rejection, and social objectivation, in the sight of lover quarrels, whether by man or women the options are the same, you choose either to grow and learn,… or to fall from grace a shadow of what was, a husk of your former self, and that is why I swim the sea of broken hearts not to drown in sorrow but to give those who fell in the dark and murky waters hope, to give them a chance to save themselves, to pull themselves out, to give them a life line that all they need is to just grab, to take upon themselves a handhold, and let me give them a hand to hold, to walk them through their journey, to guide them back home, that is why I sail the sea of broken hearts to find those I can help, for I will never have the chance to experience neither, the joy of reciprocation of my feelings, or the heart retching, soul crushing, unbearable suffering that comes with being rejected, so I chose to help others in their search for love, a endeavor that I do under a solitary flag, a mission that I carry out alone.
