Sea Of Faces
Tears of sorrow Pain & Dismay
Make up...this ever consuming Oceans Rage
I try to keep my head up
but it’s locked Inside
this Rusty Cage.
So Hard to keep this
Ocean of Emotion at Bay
Its Causing this Distortion that you on My Face.
From all this dead weight
Knowing the world you live in
and the one that I
are Not the same.
You Are like the sheep led to the slaughter
as do these mindless Drones in chains do the same.
With each link that rattles and bounds
It represents the PRIDE, EGO
& IGNORANCE that caused
you a different fate.
Since birth I was different
I know I'm Not the same.
It brought good and bad fortune but my decisions played a part in what made it that way.
But Sooner or later
It just may take
What's left of this life
Ive been raped
Cant revive or
change my fate
From Thoughts of what
happiness made
To what lies and ego
began to take
They Where Endless
and impossible to shake
I just Hope it comes Swiftly this
time cuz I cant wait
Truth be told
I've already
excepted my fate.
I Just keep Swimming
” No matter how long it takes.”
To the vast Beyond unto the
point in which I break.
From the mental & verbal abuse & all that is meant to break
I take
I'm Stripped of Pride,
Peace & Rest
But this one takes the cake
You're so fake
When ya cast the blame?
Change starts with you
stand up for My Name
Cause at the end of the day it's yours to just the same.
My heart trembles security deprived as I begin to break
Like my Heart to my knees and mind it shakes
Cant shake it off my shoulders like flakes
As my heart in my hands
With my mistakes
Fight like there’s No tomorrow like my families life’s at stake
Passed the point of No Return
& the worst heart break.
Even my last breathe it takes.
Cause I long for something real in world so fake.
There’s to much at stake Idk how much more I could take. Yet must remain Brave
and Cast my sail to catch
the winds of change.
To find new Fire with an everlasting Flame
Because mine burned out lighting yours every day
I see the picture with this New Frame
But inside you're stil the same
Not much really changed
- Lyrics by Joe Lilley.
That's Me.
