Sea of Frustration
I am the Sea.
Welcoming,
Reflective of vibrant colors of the world,
A beauty - a facade.
People trodden on my sand.
Leaving impressions - leaving me.
Leaving the dwelling tempest
That lies inside of me.
Roaring, spitting, crashing
What has fermented in my soul.
Louder - more intensity,
But I will not be heard,
The storm
Is not physically seen.
It’s a product of emotion,
That - stays - inside of me.
I express my tempest -
When people - aren’t - around.
I clear my beaches -
Push down deep, my problems of the world.
But who would want to see it,
Who would want to know?
That what is welcoming and beautiful,
Could all be just a show.
