Sea Ice

The years I looked for you have not been wasted.

Through the deep snow and ice I searched,

Long and hard.

Will there ever be a time where we meet again?

Tell me.

Am I even still alive to you?

Snow melts into my eyes and I am blinded.

I had known this would happen,

For happiness is like a piece of ice in the middle of the ocean.

It could melt at any moment,

Any second.

My tears freeze as fast as they come.

You will never return,

But I will never stop waiting.

For my sheet of ice that has kept me afloat,

Has not yet melted.
