Sea or Shore, Sink or Sail

Dear Change,

The father said unto the son

You must flee this stagnant shore

you should sail away and let free instincts to explore

Heed my warning and fly away

this shore is not for you, go out to change today

The mother said unto the daughter

Never stray to the changing sea

your fleet of friends is its hidden fee

Stay here upon the stable shore

let change hurt you no more

The children cried unto the parents

I must sink before I'm taught to sail

I must walk before I learn to run

No simple lesson shall teach me to fail

Nor will they show me when I have won

Let go and I'll choose sea or shore

I'll bring intuition to the fore

Today I won't be shackled

Today I won't be free

Today it's time to let me be

I will go and you shall see

Today my fate follows me
