Sea of Words

Fri, 05/27/2016 - 15:16 -- Aezion

Words leave me

When most I need them.

When I must speak,

I falter,

I flail,

My words fall,

Trailing off into the distance.

These words could save me,

Keep me from drowning in the sea.

As the words fly away,

The words that could form a raft,

A raft which would allow me to sit in the bay,

I fall off into the water.

As I falter for words,

I fall in the sea.

I've never been good at words.

Words and swimming were never strong for me,

Only drowning,

As the words fly away,

And the air from my lungs is replaced

With water from a sea,

A sea of words,

Because there's so much to say,

But what should be pulled to craft

A saving raft?
