Seamlessness

I have to believe that there is something more than these four walls, I have to believe that one day I can be in a place where no one knows me, The world that is around me has to be filled with so much more than pain, If it isn't I don't know if I can live in it anymore, The beauty has to weigh out the pain, Even though the pain is unbearable and crippling, The beautiful things bring so much joy to everyone they touch, But sometimes it's not enough, Just like love isn't enough, Because when the bottle is empty and the cigarettes are down to the butts, You're skin is burned and my voice is quiet, The room is still echoing from the the noise that has faded, And I can't stop noticing the pain that moves in psychedelic waves across your forehead, The whisper that smoke from your sadness, For once I need the guarantee that everything will be okay in the end, The stained glass windows of that big church down the street should be perfect, My heart will continue to race every time I hear from you, I just need the time to figure some things out, If the seams of that old dress you love so much are intact, Then I'll wear it the next time, When our hearts throb loud and our laughter echoes off the fine silverware, That's when I'll know it's okay
