The Seams of History

History is not all it seems Yes, it may tend to repeat At times is also one to defeat The fabric of time has been tethered In a single direction Where bound 'tis headed For a simple sense to be honored Self righteousness is exiled When it strays far from home Still in denial Putting one's foot forward No repercussions all the while History is all it seems not History is victor's stories All who lose are truly lost
