In search of

2 Corinthians 4:8-10

We are experiencing trouble on every side, but are not crushed; we are perplexed, but not driven to despair; 9 we are persecuted, but not abandoned; we are knocked down, but not destroyed, 10 always carrying around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our body.

In search of …

A call for today and a stroke of good fortune’s flair

Someone new to care about in this never ending sea

Despair seems always foaming and spraying in the air

Underwriting the simple lie: “What will be should be”

It appears like fatalism much like all is beyond control

Like there is no purpose only just forms of existing

Darkness has imprinted as to make everyone a droll

In trying to convince for sure all relentlessly insisting

Hope secured in a box with a lid tightly secured

Help is just around the corner on a road that’s straight

Travelling along in a hurry to get nowhere for sure

Until we run out of gas where despair is saved

Tilling up with emptiness and so reaching for the stars

Wishing for showers of blessing in a hailstorm from above

Huffing and puffing to escape from where we think we are

As we run in circles in a field that’s far removed from love

In search of all the answers within the limitation of our mind

Discarding what we’ve learned through the experience in the past

Hungering for knowledge without purpose and effort of any kind

Though the roots of our emptiness are to be molded in a cast
