The Search To Find (What Does It Mean To Be Human?)

Philosophically speaking

We can’t help but to inquire

What does it mean to be human?

What does it mean to inspire?

Some days we are filled

Overflowing to the brim

Other days we are empty

From our souls deep within

What does it mean to be human?

What’s our purpose to be gained?

What is life without pleasure?

What is life without pain?

What does it mean to be human?

We search and we desire

We long to live with meaning

Until the day that we expire

What does it mean to be human?

Why do we hunger and we thirst?

Is it even in our nature to grow tired of the search?

To explain the universe

To measure the ends of the earth

What does it mean to be human?

Is it a blessing and a curse?

Is there life after death if there’s life after birth?

We can’t see the wind, yet we feel that it’s there

Are life’s answers like an invisible, gentle breath of fresh air?

We reason and we assert

But does that make us wise?

All is vanity, all is vanity when we are solely led by pride

We inspect what’s been set forth

Yet we’re never satisfied

So, what does it mean to be human!

Who is it that decides?

Who amongst us can answer?

Whose mind is qualified?

Are all the answers hidden?

Or have we failed to read the signs?

Are we a product of chance or of intelligent design?

Some might say having faith is just being blind

But those who boast all knowledge are just closing their eyes

To know more is to rejoice less

But the one who seeks is the one who will find.
