In search of own fulfillment

James 3:16 New English Translation (NET Bible)

16 For where there is jealousy and selfishness, there is disorder and every evil practice.

A nation always being judged ...

What is wrong with us to think we are alright?

What is our freedom but being enslaved to our own desires?

We live in the USA the one with all its might

celebrating with pomp our decline towards the mire

The world has no right to measure our commitment

They surely have no right to judge our every way

Only in their they search for their own fulfillment

in the material race that drives them night and day

They taught us many lessons throughout their history

We did not learn too much of that but neither did they

They had their colonies and robbed folks from being free

and now we do the same and they want us to repay
