Searching

Who am I, what am I where do I belong

Taking mountain high peeks of white dusted with snow

Touching would ruin the perfection of the blank

Traveling to valleys, green, with life, butterflies’ flitter around.

Each going its own path so certain in direction

Their colored backs only add to the beauty

Giving hope to journey on

To desserts Hot, burning as coals

Emptiness fills, all the places between the grains,

Only little lizards greet me

The ocean greats me with a crash, and a cool hand shake.

It wipes away the emptiness, and fills in its own solemnness

People everywhere, some like me, search, asking wondering

Others certain of whom they are and given off like a scent

Smelling of flowers, sweet but strong to winds of life

But they too have searched

I continue on to find me.
