Searching for Stars

The alleyways are littered with broken bottles
Bleeding amber liquid
A fixer
Another boy pulls the trigger
And paints the dirt with
Something blue

The alleyways are hallways
Scattered with wounded soldiers
Tripping and spilling
Dreams forgotten
Trampled underneath the masses
Not enough bandages

Lost things litter the bleachers
A stolen kiss between the metal structures
A synthesis reaction steals the luster
Another fracture beneath the skin

Covered in darkness
Where's the needle?
Poke the holes
In the cloth you stitched together
Yourself
You
Let the neon lights shine through
And pepper away the darkness
