Searching For You

Nothing but darkness all around
I listen for a voice, a movement... a sound.
I’m lost in this black hole I call life

Wishing someone like you would show me your light.

I call out your name, hoping for an answer. But my echo floats like a mindless dancer. I reach out my hand to feel for yours Nothing grabs me, I’ve lost my words.

Your passion, your glory is all I need I’d run to you but I cannot flee
This room is eating me, buzzing all I hear I feel your presence coming near

The room shook,
My face looked
Your face like the sun, powerful and bright Except your power never fails in the darkest of night.

I’ve never seen such a thing before
But here you are, opening my doors.

To a whole new life, I’ve wished to find You took my hand and said “You are mine...”
