Location

As a daffodil, she’s rooted down
in dirt and defecation, reflecting sunshine only when
                her branches are severed

at
fingertips. Gently brushing away the smog,
witness the rush of her                                 plum      lips, curled at the corners. But
it only lasts as long as her petals, it seems
                she wilts as spring does
