Seasons

You’re the type of summer that gives birth to new feelings and warmth

Giving bloom and burning heat to the loneliest of fields

I am the overbearing winter that makes loneliness stark and cold deeper

Overlooking with a reminder of absence and things lost

But please let's not be just like these passing seasons that make us

Slow down and don’t overgrow me with your change
