Seasons
I found you in the Spring, as the love began anew,
The birds all were singing, and the skies were light blue,
Those nights that we spent, and we didn't have a clue,
And nothing in the Spring, was as beautiful as you.
The love stayed through the Summer, as it burned bright,
Lying in the hammock, on that Summer night,
We stayed through it all, through the dark and the light,
And your beauty was ever more pleasing to my sight.
The love faded in the Fall, as the dreams turned to dust,
As the colors all faded, and the metal became rust,
We lost all our hopes, and we forgot how to trust,
But still you were beautiful, yet only just.
The love failed in the Winter, and then all was dead,
Those fights that we had, and the things that we said,
Led our love to die, as the rivers ran red,
And her beauty would be someone elses instead.
