Seasons

There are all these things I never said to you that I should have but I never had the words and now that I do you’re gone like the first kiss of spring and I never said goodbye because I thought that you would be with me for the frost but winter came and went without you, like the summer bird I got you for your birthday last year that you never got to see. Your ring is still on the table, by the way, right where you forgot it; mine is next to it so please don’t separate them. I didn’t know how to take care of your flowers so they faded and withered like fall grasses I’m sorry.
