Seasons

Life, year by year, comes in seasons.

You bloom in Spring, overcoming the cold of the winter that came before. The Sun shines upon you, and you grow from the depths of the ground and stretch up to the heavens above. All is right in the world, and the warmth from the Sun's rays keep everything alive and well. Rain comes occasionally to give you & the Earth around you a good refreshing, then all is back to normal. The Sun rises and sets, as does the Moon, and the cycle repeats.

When summer comes around, your true colors are luminescent like a rainbow's, and all is happy in the world. The clouds flow by as shields to the blazing heat, and bring shade to give you shelter from the blinding light. Children and adults alike are all around, enjoying the summertime fun and embracing the good things in life. No heavy rains to drown you, just the warmth of happiness all around. The Sun rises and sets, as does the Moon, and the cycle repeats.

Next comes autumn, when things slowly wither away. Many around you begin to fall apart, leaving you to wither alongside them. Heavy winds and lower temperatures take a toll on you, and you slowly give in. The occasional sunny days and rainstorms keep you nourished and prepared, but nature continues to pick at your leaves until you have none left. The Sun rises and sets, as does the Moon, and the cycle repeats.

The year ends in winter, when the harshest conditions come to visit. The various blizzards and snow flurries bury you neck deep in frozen shards of white, and constrict you from seeing the Sun that you so rightfully deserve. The chills and freezes that come from the subzero temperatures of the season keep you from growth and nourishment, leaving you to survive off of all that's inside you. The struggle continues until someone comes to remove the snow from your path, and the Sun's warmth melts the rest away. Life becomes normal again, even just for a moment, and all is right in the world. The Sun rises and sets, as does the Moon, and the cycle repeats.

Life, year by year, comes in seasons. You bloom, you thrive, you wither, you freeze. But not all hope is lost. As the seasons begin again, so will you. The Sun rises and sets, as does the Moon, and the whole cycle repeats.
