Seasons Change

Seasons Change

Dear Diary,

I lie, I lie
For other people's sake.
I cry, I cry
For it's all I can take.
I sigh, I sigh
How do I make it through?

Seasons change
And so do moods.
I'm helping everyone else,
But I need to think of myself.

Seasons change
And so do trials.
I look up at the sky
And ask God “why?”

Seasons change
And so do feelings.
I'm full of emotion,

But inside it's like commotion.

Seasons change
And so do opinions.
I'm running out of patience.
How do I find some motivation?

I write, I write
To get it all out.
I think, I think
To get rid of all the doubt.
I sing, I sing
To feel the passion.
I dance, I dance
But as a distraction.

Although things shift,
There's always one constant.
He's a God I should uplift,
For He's always there for me
And is my main correspondent.

I bow, I bow
My overfilled head.
I close, I close
My stinging eyes.
I pray, I pray
For seasons change...
But my God never will.
