The Seasons of Life

Death is like Winter, and Winter is like Death:

Cold, barren, a frozen wasteland of decay.

So, if Death be  Winter,

Birth is like Spring, and Spring is like Birth:

Life blossoming all around, growing in light.

So, if Spring be Birth,

Summer is like Childhood, and Childhood like Summer:

High spirits shining and playing in the warmth that is love.

So, if Summer is Childhood,

Autumn is like Adolescence, and Adolescence is like Autumn:

Full of change, the beginning of one's end.

So, life is like the seasons, and the seasons are like life

Both come round, to a full circle.

Death becomes life and like fades away and becomes Death.

One in the same, they are,
